Robotic Bypass Surgery

The number of minimally invasive methods as an alternative to classical surgery methods is gradually increasing in cardiac surgery, especially with the advancing technology in the last 15 years. Especially in recent years, bypass surgeries performed with robotic surgery provide a very important advantage in terms of patient comfort and speed of recovery.

Robotic surgery with a 4-inch incision

In Health Go Travel Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic, it is possible to apply without touching the scalpel to the chest and stopping the heart with 3 holes opened under the armpit with a robotic bypass and a 4-centimeter incision only where the rib is located. With the camera placed through an incision, a 3-dimensional image is provided with 8-10 times larger and clearer images. One surgeon attaches surgical instruments to the robot arms, the other surgeon uses these instruments on the console with the camera.

It can be done without stopping the heart

Coronary artery bypass surgery, mitral valve surgery, congenital heart surgery and arrhythmia surgery are performed with robots in patients suitable for robot surgery. Coronary artery bypass surgery is performed without stopping the heart or stopping the heart (using a heart-lung machine). Mitral valve operations are performed by stopping the heart.

Returning to normal life in a short time

As in the classical bypass, the chest area does not open and the operation is performed without stopping the heart. With robotic bypass, the patient can return to his normal life much earlier. In robotic bypass, the infection rate and bleeding are much less, and the patient also has cosmetic advantages. In robotic bypass performed with very small incisions, there is no cosmetic scar in the patient. In addition, the patient reaches normal physical condition faster.

Less pain, less infection

Coronary artery bypass surgery, mitral valve surgery, congenital heart surgery and arrhythmia surgery are performed with robots in patients suitable for robot surgery. Coronary artery bypass surgery is performed without stopping the heart or stopping the heart (using a heart-lung machine). Mitral valve operations are performed by stopping the heart. With robotic heart surgery, the recovery period in patients is significantly shortened, and patients can usually return to work after 15 days. Bleeding, infection, pain and blood use are much less.
